The Very Best Blonde Brownies

Did you all think we had forgotten about you?? We promise we have not! We are still cooking away and have lots of things stored up to share with you!

For now, we would like to extend a thank you to Katie Pernell for sending such a wonderful write up and beautiful pictures for The Very Best Blonde Brownies (which are ALWAYS a crowd favorite).

In the words of Katie....

This recipe first appeared in Thymes Remembered, JLT's original cookbook. It was so loved that it was even included in our next installment, A Thyme to Celebrate.

The Very Best Blonde Brownies are just that--the best! These are my go-to dessert for tailgates, backyard barbeques, birthday parties, etc. and they are always a crowd pleaser.

One tip, you can always add 1/2 a cup of chopped walnuts or pecans for an extra crunch. And do you want to know my secret for a melt in your mouth, soft center? Pull the pan out of the oven 2-3 minutes early (time may vary, depending on your oven). Another easy and delicious recipe from ATC!

Thank you for sharing, Katie! And I have personally had her brownies - and I can confirm that they are the best!

Berries on a Cloud

A BIG thank you to Melissa Joiner for submitting this wonderful recipe!

As you can see, this treat was prepared for a July 4th celebration - I am sure it was a huge hit!

Another great recipe from the Junior League of Tallahassee Cookbook - you will have most of the ingredients already at home!

The instructions are simple, and the result is beautiful (and yummy).

Keep on cooking! And thank you again, Melissa!

Oven-Baked Chicken Parmesan

This recipe was SO easy and SO delicious! I had every ingredient needed at my house, except for the mozzarella cheese! I was also confident my husband would love it - who wouldn't love chicken, cheese, and marinara sauce!?

The preparation time is not long at all, so be sure to start by preheating your oven. I created a little assembly line to coat the chicken....

After baking for 20 minutes, I added the toppings and baked for an additional 10 minutes....

While the chicken was baking, I prepared some pasta to make it a full meal.

Yes! It is that easy! Dinner is served!
